Where to Stay
While the wedding itself is in the town of Ravello and we recommend you stay there, you are welcome to look at places anywhere along the Amalfi Coast (i.e. Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, Praiano, etc). Just be aware that these towns are built into the cliffside and typically only have one main roadway between them. What may look like a short distance could be an hour drive. Simona (our wedding planner) says Ubers are rare, so if you choose to stay elsewhere, you may look into renting a car.
Ravello has lots of great options - both hotels and AirBnbs. Most hotels have a small number of rooms (there is no Marriott Ravello), which is why we do not have “blocked” rooms at any hotel for our wedding. Remember you are staying in a European city built into a cliff. While quite charming, we don’t think many Americans would consider the hotel options very “modern.” When we said we want our adventurous friends there, we meant it!
In our research, we were pleasantly surprised with what AirBnb had to offer. You may also want to check out sites such as Vrbo or Booking.com
The wedding will take place at the Belmond Caruso Hotel. There are lots of available hotels & rentals within walking distance. Keep in mind there could be steep hills or lots of stairs getting between places. We recommend entering the address of the accommodation you are interested in and the venue into directions on Google Maps. If you select “walking” as the mode of transportation, it will tell you both how long and how steep the walk would be.
